COVID-19 Update 5/11/2020

Thankfully, the gradual restart of Tennessee’s economy appears to be going well.  Getting everyone back to work and back to normal activities is vitally important to all of us.  We at GL&PS look forward to the day we can resume serving you more personally and more efficiently.  We had hoped to reach that point this week, but because the overall number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, I do not believe this to be the time to eliminate any of our safe work practices.

As inconvenient as it may be, the continuing threat of spreading the COVID-19 virus through face to face interaction compels me to delay reopening GL&PS’s main office to public access until at least Tuesday, May 26, the day after Memorial Day.

Although it subjects Customers to more days of patiently waiting in our drive through lanes to conduct business with GL&PS, this short delay will better protect the health and safety of our employees and of our Customers.  By May 26 all should know if the COVID-19 calamity has eased enough so we can start down the path to normal business practices without posing a substantial health risk to anyone.

Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding while we continue to serve your needs as effectively and as safely as we can.
